Helping Veterans Navigate SBA Applications

SBA Removes Financial Barriers to Qualified Applicants with Ties to Military

Entrepreneurs with military ties may benefit from reduced SBA loan fees through certain SBA Express Loan programs designed to support veteran-owned businesses and members of the military community.

“I’ve been focused on SBA lending for more than 17 years, and I can attest that the U.S. military is a great training ground for entrepreneurs,” said Mike Crowe, VP, Heritage Bank Director of SBA Lending.

Veterans and veteran-owned businesses may still qualify for reduced SBA loan fees on certain qualifying loans. Fee reductions can vary based on loan amount and SBA program guidelines, so it’s important to review the latest requirements and eligibility details before applying.

Heritage Bank and Venturus work closely with veterans and military-affiliated entrepreneurs to help navigate the SBA financing process, explain available fee reduction opportunities, and identify financing solutions aligned with their business goals.

For additional eligibility and documentation requirements, applicants can review SBA Information Notice 5000-836123 or speak with a Heritage Bank SBA specialist.

“Heritage Bank specializes in small business banking,” Crowe said. “In addition to SBA lending expertise, we offer a full range of banking products and services designed to help small businesses start, grow, and succeed.”

Heritage Bank is one of the 10 largest banks in Greater Cincinnati and has expanded its commercial banking operations into the Miami Valley. As a community bank, Heritage Bank remains committed to independent banking and personalized customer service.
