Community Reinvestment & Support
Special Programs
Any branch can help consumers seeking a financially sound way to manage unexpected expenses with a small dollar loan. Interest rates are fair and competitive. Our branch managers are experienced and happy to help.
Designed for home buyers who need something other than conventional lending. Ask about our grants for qualified buyers
We participate in this popular FHLB program, providing grants to low- and moderate-income home buyers.
Our founders were entrepreneurs, too. We work with small businesses to find the financing that works for them. From Small Business Administration loans to conventional lending tools, let our bankers help fuel your ambitions.
Community Involvement
- We support childhood literacy, local school districts and 4-H programs designed to instill resourcefulness, responsibility and community leadership in our youth.
- We award college scholarships to more than 30 local high school seniors every year. Starting in 2025, Heritage Bank will begin awarding scholarships to high school and adult students
- We support food banks, emergency response organizations and nonprofits focused on relieving local poverty.
- We sponsor chamber events, rotary clubs and community business associations.
- We participate in local fairs and festivals, providing financial education with a smile and free popcorn. Throughout the year, look for Heritage Bank at parades and other community events.
Volunteering
Heritage Bank employees record more than 4,000 volunteer hours per year, the equivalent of more than 2 full-time employees.
Financial Education
Junior Achievement
We’re long-time, enthusiastic supporters of Junior Achievement, a nonprofit fostering work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. In addition to raising money for the tri-state chapter, our employees spend hours – often on company time – teaching Junior Achievement courses in local schools.
VITA
Every year, several bank employees complete training and dedicate hours to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping local residents complete their income tax returns and identify returns they are eligible to receive.
Fraud Education
Financial scams are on the rise. We are here to help. We offer free financial education materials upon request. Also, follow us on social media where we regularly offer tips for fighting fraud and improving financial literacy.
Community Investment
Catalytic Fund
We are proud to support economic development in Northern Kentucky with a $1 million investment in the Catalytic Fund.
“Heritage Bank exists to improve the communities we serve and to improve the lives of people who call those communities home,” said Lee Scheben, President of Heritage Bank. “The Catalytic Fund’s work aligns with our
mission and priorities. As we continue to grow, investing in greater Cincinnati development through larger direct relationships and participation in nonprofit efforts to unlock development opportunities throughout the
region is top-of-mind.”
St. Elizabeth
Heritage Bank Gifts $500,000 to St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s New Heart & Vascular Center.
“St. Elizabeth Healthcare is a leading light in Northern Kentucky, and Heritage Bank appreciates how they continue to embrace their role in nurturing a healthy, vibrant local workforce,” said Lee Scheben, President of Heritage Bank. “The new Heart and Vascular Institute will bring state-of-the-art cardiac care and the best cardiac caregivers in Northern Kentucky under one roof to deliver personalized care to each patient. Personalized care is something Heritage Bank can always get behind because it aligns with our philosophy of personalizing banking for residents of Northern Kentucky.”
