Here. To Plant Roots & Watch Communities Bloom.

Heritage Bank exists to help the businesses and the people in the communities we serve thrive. Wherever we operate, we’re in the community, providing banking services, donating to the organizations that enrich neighborhoods and volunteering our time.

Nurturing locally grown talent and seeding local ownership has been our mission since opening our doors a little more than 30 years ago.

As we've grown into one of the region's top 10 banks, Heritage Bank has prioritized investments in low and moderate income communities and advancing small businesses owned by minorities and women.

Consumers

We’re ready to help consumers with credit issues obtain small loans for home repairs, car repairs, medical bills and other urgent, unplanned needs.

Small Dollar Loans

Any branch can help consumers seeking a financially sound way to manage unexpected expenses with a small dollar loan. Interest rates are fair and competitive. Our branch managers are experienced and happy to help.

Businesses

We look at more than spreadsheets and financial statements. We look at the entrepreneur.

Our founders were entrepreneurs, too. If you have a sound business plan but are low on capital, you wouldn’t be the first start-up we invested in and mentored into a flourishing company. If you’re a small business with the potential to grow, contact us about your options.

Or maybe you have a sound operation that could be more profitable with better cash management and automation. We can offer you Treasury Management services you’d expect from a national bank along with the service you expect from us.

We don’t just process loans and sell you cash management services, we offer you access to experienced bankers whose best days are the ones when they can help a small business take flight or soar to new heights. Depend on Heritage Bankers to help navigate opportunities through the Small Business Administration or suggest other credit options.

Cash restraints shouldn’t limit potential. Learn more about our Genesis Scholarships.

We’ve partnered with OCEAN Programs, a local accelerator with an entrepreneur training program proven to set up small businesspeople for success. More than 85 percent of Genesis graduates’ businesses have launched or expanded, and 90 percent of those ventures remain in business.

The enrollment fee is worth every penny, but it can be a hurdle for some entrepreneurs. The Heritage Bank/Chris Caddell Scholarship defers 80 percent of the fee. Learn more.

Financial Education

Junior Achievement

We’re long-time, enthusiastic supporters of Junior Achievement, a nonprofit fostering work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. In addition to raising money for the tri-state chapter, our employees spend hours – often on company time – teaching Junior Achievement courses in local schools.

VITA

Every year, several bank employees complete training and dedicate hours to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping local residents complete their income tax returns and identify returns they are eligible to receive.

Elderly Fraud Education

Financial scams and elder abuse is on the rise. We are here to help.

Heritage Bank supports efforts to protect seniors from the multiplying efforts to defraud and scam them. Employees volunteer at virtual and live conferences. The bank also maintains a web page dedicated to scams and fraud and incorporates alerts into its social media.
